crash rendering splash drops as 'splashes' with count multiplied

  • crash rendering splash drops as 'splashes' with count multiplied

    i'm multiplying the splash count for a water sim and have found I have to stay with 'point' rendering mode if I raise the count multiplier in the PG foam object. is that a known issue? i'd like to set it to 'splashes' rendering mode to get back my refractive drops. i'm using v25058. thanks!

    yes, the count multiplier is a new feature and for now only point mode is supporting it. of course it will be added to splash/bubble modes too, just question of time. they are complicated by the particle size, if you just create new particles, it's very probably that they will overlap the original ones and this will cause slow rendering.
