  • render elements to separate water mesh, splash, foam

I've seen variants of this question, however didn't find a solution as of yet. I'm wondering how any type of render elements could be created from 1 primary beauty render to separate a water mesh, splashes, and foam as separate passes to control CC in comp. Looking for any clever solutions. The goal is to end up with 1 set of combined EXR's with the extra channels. So far have tried:

    --multimatte render element
    --object id
    --wireframe
    --same with geometry mode on

All results seem to work on the mesh however leave splash and foam pure black.

    Using Vray and PFD v25087

    Thanks!

our coworker tsetso has just released a new tutorial that uses compositing of water and foam, in general the foam is written in the atmosphere channel, you can get it there, but you have to render twice for the liquid and the foam.
