Outside life - foam

Can anyone tell me what's going on here? The foam generated by the edge of the grid for no reason seems to happily drift outside the grid but the actual foam that I want to keep is killed as soon as it hits the edge.

it seems that the foam under or above the surface survives, if it's floating on the surface it is killed.

i suppose the reason is that the foam in the center has bigger age, the outside parameter actually does not measure the outside life, but the full age. just increase the outside life amount and it will survive
