  • Flickerig every 15th frame

To simulate the ocean i've used the template.
Tweaked the lightning a bit and the result is pretty nice.
The only problem we're having is that every 15th frame the foam is different.
After checking the forum, I updated vray and checked if i had the latest version of Phoenix.

The problem wasnt resolved after the update.

Any idea what this could be?

apparently this is issue related to the backup frames, every 15th frame is a backup point and perhaps it changes the rendering in some way.
one possible reason is the motion blur - if you have no velocity exported, the particles will have no motion blur, except the backup frames, they have all the channels exported.

      Thnx for the quick response.

I'm testing now with velocity in all frames, but the size of the files is growing really fast now.

Is there a way to turn the velocity off in the backup files?

You will just have to turn off the backup frames, they won't be able to serve as a backup if there is not velocity. On the other hand ,turning off velocity won't get you motion blur, you need it for that.

...or even better - turn off the feature that is using the velocity (perhaps motion blur of the foam)

            Thnx
Found the problem and testing it now.
In the PHXfoam the motion blur was on forced on.
I turned it off and checking it now.

              my problem is solved.
It turned out to be a 'user' error.

After I tirned the motion blur off, it all was the same.
