  • matte objects - problem with foam rendering

there seems to be some issues if you matte objects in the scene and foam rendering. everything besides point rendering causes an extreme slowdown in rendering foam, because vray hangs while trying to render the matted objects.
    do you know that?

    use the newest nightly build

    best regards

      Hi Themaxxer,

I just made a test and i can confirm that the rendering with matte surface is slower, but it is due to the number of additional rays (reflection/shadow/refraction) used to produce correct result when the foam is rendered as primitives. Bubbles, Cellular and Splashes are rendered slower.

Would it be possible to share some render time results from your scene setup? If there is a massive difference in the speed we can try to fix it.
A scene file will be also helpful.
      Thank you.
