rogue splashes and foam?

  • rogue splashes and foam?

    Hello everyone! I'm using the tutorial provided that demonstrates the ship wake and I've replicated everything perfectly, but I keep running into a strange issue. Around frame 95 a line of splashes and foam appears and continues on for the rest of the simulation. It becomes less pronounced with less refined grid until I lower the amount of cells enough for it to disappear, but then there's not much definition in the foam and water.

    Can anyone explain how to avoid that please?

    this is the "shadow" of the leading edge moved backward by the liquid. the original scene starts the rendering from frame 250, and one of the reasons is exactly this edge, but even if the edge was invisible, you must wait the same time, the elements of the simulation - the front waves, the foam from the bow, all this must reach its stable state.

      I've got the same problem, except I also have random particlesspawns all over the place. Last sim went fine, but now the vessel is animated back and forth in a rolling motion. Thats the only difference.

      STF was low on the last sim, but the sim crashed during simulation with the last setting which was 2, so I tried to up the steps to 4, and now it goes through the sim fine, but these rogue spawns shows up.

        can you attach the simulator settings exported as preset?

            well i found it, the option "from free fly" in the splash birth is to blame, just set it to zero. this option is intended for waterfalls , but the idea was that it can't harm the other sims (apparently it can)

              Aha, thanks. I actually did play a bit with that option, but I never put it completely to zero, as I thought it had something to do with the birth parameter for the splashes.
