  • Boundary condition issue

    Morning..

Downloaded nightly build 26174 (31/08/2015) and jammed mode appears to just act as open mode, deleting when at the grid boundary. Tried a restart of max but no joy

well, i can't reproduce this here, but it may be related to differences between my code and the repository. you are talking about liquids right?

actually.. after the first sim, I press sim again and it continues through the grid again and deletes. I'll try the latest build.

          * there is no build for yesterday/today so I shall wait for them to come up

*rolled back to the 28th build 26171 and doing the same thing, how annoying.. something must have happened over the weekend with my setup as this build used to work fine

Hey Ivaylo, just a bit more info for you, although you probably know about it. I'm finding that first press of the sim button works as expected, second sim boundaries fail and then the third sim phoenix does nothing. This is on 3rd September build on max 2014/2016 versions.

              Thanks :]

Just checking if this has been fixed or is it an issue with my setup. On the latest build of 7th September, thanks

yes, we reproduced and fixed the bug in the jammed walls. but i'm not sure that this is the same bug, you can test it and tell us how it behaves

The jammed wall is still failing on my end with todays build in 2014. Shall try 2016 to make sure.

well, this means it's not the same issue. i was suspecting something like this, because the behavior was not exactly like your description

finally i was able to reproduce the problem, seems like it is environment sensitive and this was the reason to not appear here until now.

you reported different behavior in two consequent sims, this can't be a setup issue, 100% a bug.
                              btw, it's fixed already
