    So, I have a problem.
I have a scene where I need to shoot water through a hose where it at the end impacts and the MB i'm getting is anything but usable.

I have attached pictures with different settings to show where the problem is, and non of them seem to be usable, regarding the MB.

the liquid is moving too fast and combining with the fact that you use movie camera (1/24 shutter speed) the shift of the mesh vertices becomes too big.
you can use the velocity multiplier in the rendering panel to control the mb, set it to 0.2 and it looks much better

And with meshing-methods, which is preferable/most correct to use?

we have two methods to represent liquids, mesh and implicit surface. the ocean and cap mode are actually meshes modified for certain situations
the mesh mode produces better motion blur compared to implicit surface, it's the default mode and your scene is set to use it.
