  • maya nparticle emitter 'Can't find node'

    Hi everyone,
I just wanted to try the nParticle emitter in Maya, but I get a warning, which says 'Warning: Can't find node'. Also when I try to playback the timeline, I cannot see any particles only that error message. Is there something wrong with my nightly (Maya 2015, 2.2.0 rev. 26195) or can I fix that somehow?

    Thanks in advance,
    Sascha

As I understand it, the error occurs right away after the nparticles emitter node is created and reason for it should be something in Maya itself.
Have you made any updates or changes to your Maya 2015 ?

In case that the error is related to a specific scene file you can post it here or send to our support mail for investigation.

yes, exactly, it appears right away the emitter is created and when i run the timeline, the warning occurs on every frame. its a simple scene with no special things in it, so i think it would make no sense to uploade. i tested it also with a emty maya scene.
      we are using maya2015 extension1 sp5

        Thanks for your update.
Actually I don't think this error has anything to do with the V-Ray version. Which OS is that ?
Can you try to update to SP6 ?

I will check with our developers for any other solutions.

Would it be possible to save your scene to a file and post it here. I want to be sure there is nothing related to the scene setup.
