automatic folder creation

I have still this annoying error of automatic folder creation in the folder where I save the scene... I work with the newest nightly build, and I thought this issue was fixed...?

you mean in case you have no phoenix?
because this folder is created to keep parameter log files, when phoenix is used

yes no phoenix at all... it's something random, but I always have to delete the folders manually...

as i remember, this bug was introduced in the vray too, with the volume grid, it's possible that you vray has it, what is the vray version?

I use the Nightly build of 15/10/22 and vray 3.20.03

no not for me... it's some what random, not in every scene, but often. I use vray 3.20.03 and a nightly, but don't know which, have to check...

Yes, I can confirm that this is an issue for the latest nightly builds. Hope to be fixed soon.

Still happening? Is there a place to set a config file or something to not auto create those folders? I have them all over the place now. Even if I have not built anything requiring phoenix, it auto creates folders per max scene.

the issue is considered less important than still existing crashes and simulation problems, but will be fixed of course.

oh well for me it is very important to fix, because I save 5 new scenes a day... and I have these folders everywhere on my system now.

let be clear, you mean the folders appear even when no phoenix exists in the scenes? it's very possible that the folders are created by the vray volume grid, the bug is fixed, but you have to update vray too, not only phoenix

yes, even if there is no phoenix used... http://c2n.me/3qgnOzd.png I mean this is the autobak folder of max and I have not used phoenix for a month or longer and there are folders of each autoback max file...
and I use the beta of vray 3.30.01

Just to add my input. Still creates folder when no phoenix being used/in the scene and I am still on the old Vray 2.4... wish we would upgrade!

if you are with 2.4 this means 100% the problem is still present in phoenix, not in the volume grid as i supposed.
