  • A few problem and question about liquid. Noise and noise map in emission, surfing

Hi, I have a few question about liquid.

1: what is droplet surfing? Is it to keep the droplet close to the main splash?

2: in the liquid source there is a noise spinner but it seems always greyed out.

3: if I put a noise in the map of the source it doesn't seem to have any effect.

    I'm using v2.2.5 build ID: 1512166548

    1. the droplet surfing is an option controlling the ability of the liquid surface to "support" single liquid or splash particles over it. this option is used in ocean simulations to make "sliding" mixture of foam and splash in front of the wave crest
    2. yes, thanks for the point, this must be removed. the liquid sources are not affected by the noise
    3. perhaps the noise size is too small, i tried with a gradient ramp, to have better visualization of the effect, and it works as expected
