  • Render Ocean Problem

    Hey guys

Attached are two frames from my animation frame 101 is fine and frame 102 is missing the Ocean.. And this happens frequent during animation renders.
I re simmed and downloaded latest Phoenix nightly to see if problem fixed but same result..

when you turn the ocean mode on, there is a suggestion to use static geometry, do you accept it?

no idea then, is it strongly reproducible or it happens randomly?

            Hey,

Would it be possible to send the Phoenix log after rendering the sequence with the missing frames? If you simplify the scene, does the problem still occur, or does it have to have everything in it?

            Cheers!

Hey yeah it is a simple scene anyway only 20 gig sim file .. So when i reached frame 111 this time it happened again..
So i turned off mist, splashes foam etc .. and no difference.. But when i ran the render with a higher ocean level as you can see it appears ? Strange .

Update hours later.. because I am rendering all frames just to see what it looks like.. I have now come across 40 or so frames in a row with no ocean then went back to having ocean for several frames ..

how big is the cache file of frame 111? can you upload it (with the scene) somewhere?

I noticed i changed the scene scale to 3 .. would that give a problem ?
                  Thanks

30 MB is not a big size, if you have no storage, try to attach it in a mail

                        Hey guys

Just let you know i reproduced the scene and still have the same problem..
I have sent the Vray Log to support email.
Should i also send scene file and cache ?
                        Thanks

Hooray! If you could attach the scene as well, it would be great - no need for the cache if it can be simulated with the scene - otherwise a single cache would be perfect.

                          Cheers!

Ok just sent.. I did not attach the cache because will be interesting for you to sim and see if you get same result..
                            Thanks
