  • Fluid explosive?

Hi I have 2 questions regarding fluids simulations:

Using a workflow to simulate at a low resolution and increase the resolution when you are happy with the animation is really giving strange results. i.e. when increasing the resolution the emitted fluid is really explosive.
So when increasing the resolution I have to dial something back... what?

    Another thing:
"isosurface" is not rendering smooth surfaces (it used to a while back)

Using the latest Vray and nightlies Phoenix

    P.S.
Is there any documentation which is up to date? The only documentation I can find is from version 2.2 and the latest nightlies have lot's of different parameters//

    Hey,

Would it be possible to show examples of the results you get and your settings?

In the nightlies there are "?" buttons around the Phoenix interface, e.g. in the Simulation panel that lead to the nightlies help, but only the fire/smoke part was updated. The help is WIP, but there already are many threads here explaining the new parameters - give the search a try

    Cheers!

Can you try and change your Sampler type to Spherical?
If that doesn't help can you get us a screenshot of your settings?

          Hi Georgi,

where can I find this "Sampler type" ?

In the latest nighlies build there is no "Smaple Type"

All settings are standard, exept set the render mode to Isosurface

It's in the Rendering rollout of the simulator node.

There is but it's in the Fire Simulator - my suggestion was you were using an old scene as a base when there was only one container for both Fire and Liquids.

So can you show me your settings or send the file so we can take a look?
