  • Krakatoa Problems

Getting this error message: Cannot use particles without a position from source "Wetmap".

How do I turn-off the wetmap?

  • #2
Very latest nightly? We fixed a similar error a week or two ago. You can turn off the wetmap from the Dynamics panel -> Wetting, but not sure if it will affect the issue. If this happens with a latest nightly, I'd love to fix it

Wetting was off in dynamics. Fixed it by exporting prts and using a prt loader.

Oh, you should definitely get a newer build. We fixed a lot of compatibility issues with Krak, Stoke and Frost lately..

how many particles are present in the wetmap in the frame where the message occurs?

Oops, thought I had upgraded, but the installation failed...Now works perfectly.

Whew If there's still anything wrong, please give us a bump - integration problems are usually quite quick to fix.

Oh, hell yeah! I see I can now select Phoenix as a source particle object for Frost! I no longer have to export to PRTs... Nice!

Spoke too soon. Single frames are fine, but animations fail to step the Phoenix solution, needed to go back to prt export. 2.25.01 Nightly Build ID: 1606306843

Shouldn't be a hard fix, but can you describe your setup in more detail?

                            Hello,

Are you trying to render the Phoenix particles directly with Krakatoa? I couldn't get what exactly the problem is.

Edit: We reproduced the problem and I hope it will be fixed soon.
