  • Cant scrub the timeline with ocean map shader visible in material editor

    Hi,
I don`t know what this is about (max/phoenix?) but I can`t scrub the timeline with the material editor open and an phoenix ocean map visible. close the material editor and you can scrub, remove the shader and you can scrub. put it back in and the you just can`t drag the timeline interactively.. weird ?
    3dsmax 2016, latest nightly.
    thanks

      Hey,

Do you have a scale texture selected in the ocean tex or is it by itself?

the phoenixFDOceantex is just by itself no scaling map, no other materials visible in the editor. other scenes are ok.
curiously moving the phoenixFDoceantex as a map in a standard material and the issue is resolved. putting it back without a material as just the map, and it comes back. odd indeed. doesn`t seem like a big issue ? there`s probably more important stuff to do.

Really doesn't happen with a simple setup, must be something specific to the scene. Any chance you could drop it support? Shouldn't be a hard fix and it sure is annoying to block the interface like that.
