I am currently trying to learn Phoenix and how it works with the controls because our company wants to switch to mostly Chaos Group Products. So i was following the Chocolate Candy Bar Tutorial. Our scene scale is slightly different at my company and i was wondering what was causing this anomalies in the simulation.

Hey,
These grid artifacts may be caused by low grid resolution or if you are rendering in Isosurface mode, you should make sure the Sampler in the Rendering rollout is set to Spherical and not Linear. You can also suppress those by enabling the channel smoothing from the Input panel. I don't think it's related to the scale, but still it's important that the simulation is in real-world scale compared to the simulated object.

In my opinion the best solution is to ask for nightly access, the last official release is using grid based simulator and for slow moving/viscous liquids this is not good, even with all smoothing tools on, you will be able to smell the grid in the specular highlights or in the reflections. Beside the grid artifacts the liquid lust behaves better, when simulated with particle based engine.______________________________________________
