  • dead voxels inside objects

Is there a solution to get rid of the voxels that get frozen inside of collision objects? I have a sphere object moving through smoke, but when I render I see those static voxels if the geometry is hidden or transparent. I have tried circumscrib and inscribed. No difference.

    Any ideas?

Would 'Clear Inside' from the right click Phoenix props do the trick?

Yes, that was it! Out of curiosity, is there a reason why this is not on as default? When would you need this behavior? Or is it a matter of performance?

Glad that solved it It's not that much of a performance issue, but rather it should be made more readily usable, because in some situation one would want it the other way around. We'll have to think about how it should be changed in the future...

it's not the performance, usually the objects are not transparent and hide the frozen voxels, but when they are activated behind the object they are already filled with smoke and thus the object does nod dig a "hole"
