  • position offset after resimulation

    Here is what happens:
I have run my lowres sim, ticked the resimulation button, and set amp resolution to 2 and wavelet to 3. rest is default. As I the re-sim progresses I can see that my smoke is now in a different position than the original. The transforms has the same values, but the smoke in the simulation has a different position in the grid.

    Could this be a bug?

Sounds like it could be. Are you using adaptive grid and could you share a shot with the settings?

    Thanks!

yes, I'm using adaptive. It might be hard to share screenshot as our machines are offline, but I will see what I can do.

Hey, just wanted to check if this issue happened after starting the simulation from a frame when the adaptive grid has already expanded, in case you were using adaptive grid. If so, you can check for a fix in the nightly builds of 3.0 now.

        Cheers!
