Urgent problem with license

I'm in the middle of a 10 hour simulation and now I get Could not connect to the license server....

clicking yes does nothing.

I go the license server status page and it says:
Dongle licensing might be unavailable due to the following reasons:
USB dongle is missing or damaged
WibuKey runtime is not installedINSTALL
WibuKey runtime is installed incorrectly
Dongle service is not runningRESTART


In the online licensing: no license

I restarted my VRL service and it is running normally.

It happened when I unplugged another dongle for another program but even if I plug it back it doesn't work.

Please help I must deliver my project tomorrow!

Same thing for VRAY! The nightmare I feared with the dongle just became reality.

I hope I can get the online licensing to work so I can deliver my project.

And it's 11pm in sofia, I'm doomed!

By the way is there a way with the submiter to submit a restore simulation job? I just got my sim stopped in the middle because of that dongle malfunction so I would like to make it continue on another computer when i can get a license back.

You should be able to resume simulation if you have simulation backup enabled, so it will resume from last back up frame.

For the license, if anything send me an email silhouetteimages@gmail.com and I will let you ping my license server until you get your stuff sorted out

Ouff it's ok now it seems my dongle just came back to life like it was gone...

Thanks you so much Dmitry!!! But it is working now. I think it was caused by the fact that I unplugged some usb devices. I will not touch anything before my project ends now!

Restoring does not work. All the frames get frozen after restoration point. I had all the required channels ticked and sim backup every 15 frames.

Anyway i will restart that sim on a simulation license for th wenight while I create my last sim on my workstation and should be ok for tomorrow. Rendering is pretty quick!

So, just to clarify, it is NOT possible to restore a simulation on simulation node?
It just happened to me that a simulation (running on backburner server) was interupted due to license server update.
Since there are backup frames, I could restore the sim on my local workstation but I have no idea how to send a restore sim command to backburner.

Any hints?

Ah, it is possible. Check the docs on the Phoenix maxscript functions for more info, but in general you need to modify the sim script or provide your own, where you run the simulator like:

A_StartSim phoenixNode "" 85

If you are using a latest nightly, you need to edit the PhoenixFDMenu.ms and simply append "" and the frame you want to restore from to the A_StartSim call.
