  • Point particles render darker on first frame

    Hi,

I've came across annoying problem where first frame of my simulation renders about twice as dark as all of the remaining frames. I thought I've forgot some keyframe somewhere in the scene, but i tried to change start frame of the scene to different one, and behavior remains the same. First frame of particles rendered in point mode is always twice darker than the following frames.

I would be thankful for any help.

Huh, even with a latest nightly? If it still does happen, please drop the scene to support - sounds like a bug.

Nope, I am on official release. I will ask for access to nightly builds and test it out, then report back

        Hi,

so I wrote on support and they were kind enough to give me access to nightlies. I quickly proceeded to test the scene with latest nightly and the issue seems resolved there

So it's probably fixed. I ran over the bug fixes secions in release notes, but I could not find any line that would resemble this problem. Judging from your reaction, you seem like you specifically remember fixing this one, and being surprised it would still be present in nightlies. The reason I am asking, is just so that I know if something like this was specifically fixed in some of the nightlies, or if suggestion to try nightlies was only random shot. Because I am not sure if I should continue testing other scenes if the bug pops up somewhere, or if this specific thing was fixed and my first test is a confirmation of it

Ah, well there was a similar issue that presented itself in a different way, but sounded like it must have been caused by the same problem
