  • Artifacts sticking to objects

    Hi,

    I'm doing some smoke where i have taken a cached frame from a previous simulation and used this to 'Load' as initial state for the new sim.

    As the sim progresses everything is fine with the movement and does what i expect it to do, the only problem is i get artifacts sticking to my collision objects?
    These objects work fine if you just do a normal simulation, but every time i do a 'Load' sim, this is what happens?

    Any ideas how to stop this?

    Humm, what would happen if you enable 'clear inside' on those objects?

    Otherwise it's very interesting why this happens, but we might need a scene in order to figure it out, if this would be possible.

      How do i make the objects 'clear inside'? Im using Maya by the way and i can try, if not i will send a scene over!

        Ah, check the Phoenix extra attributes on the object: https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...+FD+Attributes

          Ah ok, thanks for this i will give it a try.
          Is it best to still leave Solid turned on?

            Should work in solid or non-solid, so you should have Solid on for this setup I guess
