  • Light Cache, how to use it?

    Hi,

if I turn on use light cache in smoke color it renders blazing fast, but it looks damn ugly

if I turn it off, it looks beautiful but it takes more than 20 times longer to render which is impossible to use...

is there any way to balance between the two?

    Hello,

You can try to turn on the Light Cache and play around with the Light Cache speedup value balancing between quick and clean renders.

it doesn't work for me, that's why I posted here...
if I turn on light cache I forever have this ugly grid visible, whatever the factor of light cache speedup...
it does slow down though, but not to the benefit of the quality...

Use probabilistic sampling from max env slot. It would be noisy, but totally time predictable.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

are you talking about use probabilistic shading with samples at 20 and GI samples at 3?
