  • Internet cuts out and simulation can't find the licence - the licence check is tight

So right now I'm trying to work from a place with shitty internet - I want to go away and leave a simulation, but so far three times I've been stung by a message popping up saying "can't find licence, search again" or something.

I get you need to check for a licence - but does it have to be so often in the middle of a simulation? Can't you just do it at the start or something?

I guess 3ds max doesn't have the facility to resume simulation once the licence is found - but at the end of the day, this is only hurting people with licences with a bad internet. Pirates gonna pirate - and god forbid there is some dodgy way to cheat the system and truck it into simulating with no licences! How many people do that?

Please ease up on this because I can imagine my internet going down and losing a whole night, which could be catastrophic in some cases.

    Hey,

I'm afraid we can't check just once, because it can be cheated. Doesn't the retry option resume the simulation correctly though, or there is a problem with it?

    Cheers!

I think this can be improved - if a license can't be found, and you are not around to confirm the message, (which should be the case when you leave a long sim running) Phoenix will ping the license server and will continue automatically when it's able to connect.

Yeah. Your second reply makes more sense!

        Thanks.
