  • No Filling the bottle.

Hi! I'm not sure what I'm missing in here, I'm pouring particles in a bottle, the particles collide with the bottle interior, but not volume build up, it is like the particles are dying and not filling up the bottle, any clues why? Attached is the scene, thanks!

    Thanks!

it is pretty strange, if I use an initial filling object, the bottle contains the particles and fill up with the fill up particles, but it is like the streams of particles coming from the sphere and not contributing to fill up anymore, the collision with the particles already in the pool, but the pools does not grow as the frames passes.

    Hope this makes sense,

Same answer as on the other few threads The particles dying on geometry collision is fixed in the nightlies.

Installed the latest version, still have the problem, particles fall into the bottle, collision with the object correctly, but there is no volume of liquid build into the bottle, particles seems to die. Attached is the MAX file I'm using. It would be useful to know if it is working on your side, because here it does not work at all.

Oh, now it reproduces with this scene, thanks very much! You can work around it by moving the bottle up a bit - it seems there is a problem where the bottle comes near the bottom of the grid.

You might also need to make the bottle walls thicker as well...

Thanks a lot. So it might this be a bug?

Definitely something fishy is going on - it might be a combination of the thin geometry, the jammed wall and the low grid resolution, but still this should not happen. Will debug it in a few days I hope...
