  • Rendering in point mode warning

    Hi,

I get the Phoenix FD warning: "Rendering mist/splash in point mode with Liquid specified will consume additional memory for the displacement, you may disable the liquid option to prevent this". I'm not sure which "liquid option" the warning is referring to, there are a lot of liquid options... Which one is it? Is it inside the Foam object or the main Liquid object?

And, if I disable the "liquid geometry" option inside the foam object, I get the warning: "Rendering foam with no liquid geometry will have no proper color tint, in case of colored liquid!". Is that the correct "liquid option" I should be disabling?

Hey, yes, we made this warning more precise in the nightlies - it's the Liquid Geometry (now also renamed to Liquid Simulator) in the Particle Shader.

          Correction.
          I had made a mistake.

Eventually, the message will show up.

          ーーーーーーーーー
This message still appears in Vray5.

I'll share it as an example.
If you have Rendering>Mode:OcaneMesh, the solution is to turn off Preview>Show Mesh.

Thanks to the tip in this topic "It's Particle Shader Liquid Geometry".

Hey, this is just a warning, it's not an error.

If you have enough RAM, you should not worry at all. Just click on "Don't Show"

            Cheers!
