I'm trying to get some good-looking ship wake with Phoenix FD, but I'm not getting it right.
First, I tried following the ship wake tutorial on YouTube for Phoenix FX 2. The water looks great, but the foam dissipates almost immediately. I wonder if this could be a units thing? My Max has system units set to cm, while the tutorial use meters. Could that be an issue?

Second, instead of learning the basics through a tutorial, I thought I'd just use the excellent presets instead. But that didn't even render! Actually, the mesh object is created hundreds of meters away from the camera frustum!
Any clue on why this would happen?
