  • Wet map drying immediately

Minor thing this and I must be missing something - but how do you stop the wet map from drying immediately and make it stick to an object? I'm slowly lifting something out of water but the wet map particles pretty much stay on the waterline (they carry up for around 5 frames higher than the waterline if i'm being exact) and the mask doesnt stay on the object. changing the drying speed in dynamics from 0.001 to 1000000 makes no difference at all, and ive tried exporting age for the wetmap particles and turning on 'pa' in the map, but I don't really know what i'm doing with that and it didn't change anything anyway. any ideas?

    Hi,

can you give more info about the software you're using? (Max/Maya version, Phoenix ver. etc.). Also, you can try with the latest nightly build and If the problem remains you can send us a scene to check it out.

      It's max 2016 and phoenix 3.0.01
The wet maps work fine when the water moves over something - like a beach or other object being splashed, but when something is being lifted out of the water the red particles fall straight off it and do not stick. is this normal and is there a parameter to change which affects how sticky the wetmap is?

Oh, that's a fixed bug Moving geometries with wetmaps broke the wetmap. I think this was fixed on 3.03, but check the changelogs just in case.

        Cheers!
