just a quick one: does motion blur not work with a simple phoenixFD ocean texture?

There shouldn't be any problems with the motion blur. Where do you apply the texture?

In case you apply it over a Phoenix ocean - in Max it would work, but a Phoenix ocean in Maya would not yet render the ocean surface with motion blur.

If I make an actual simulated ocean surface using the phoenix preset then motion blur works (on the simulated portion), but if i just make a plane with a oceantexture applied to it then i cant get any motion blur on that

          Hey Peter.
I think you would need to use the pure ocean option in the phoenixFDLiquid, that way you don't need to simulate any frames and it just creates the infinite ocean.
