  • Liquid goes through mesh

Hi We have the scene where fish tanks gets hit and falls down. But for some reason liquid will go through the bowl mesh during the initial hard impact. Even making tank thicker and increasing SPF to high number like 25-30 does nothing. I know I can link the grid to the fish tank but when the tank falls to the ground liquid disappears from the window sill because grid moved with the tank to the ground . Any solution for this? Thanks

it seems that a very thick wall solves water penetration issue but then fish bowl is so thick that spilled water is not moving right on the outside.

Increase your steps per frame. You could also make a custom thickness increase, only to the lower half of your bowl.

Hey, what kind of geometry is the fishtank? Is it just transforming geometry, or is it deforming / alembic / point cache?

Hi I attached the fishbowl scene. At frame 1075 it starts falling. If grid is not linked liquid still goes through. It is mesh made from sphere and shell Thanks

            Hi,

I've noticed Fish bowl grass object and hide it before simulation. Then simulated the scene with your settings and there wasn't liquid penetrating the geometry. You can try to make grass geometry Non-Solid from Phoenix Properties and simulate again. I'm going to run another simulation without any modifications and see is that object causing the problems or not.

Hi Here is the updated scene I got rid of the grass and it still goes through the walls. Please note we are still using 3.04.02 version because of octane maybe this is the problem Thanks

Works fine here, on a nightly build from Friday 23rd Feb.
