  • Houdini foam density control in phx foam

Density control is awesome thing in h, just curious, any plans to make something similar ? I remember, I asked about this some time ago, just can't find it.
I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

Can you explain how it works and why it would be useful?

Also, how would it work with Points, Fog, and the Bubble/Splash/Cellular shading, or is it applicable only to one or some of these modes?

... or is that a simulation control, and not a rendering control?

Sim control yes. It makes very and very realistic patterns. And combined with erosion - they are literaly kills all that single drops of foam.

            Hi Svetlin,

I think what he is mentioning this https://youtu.be/-1LgFnk8rlM?t=540 (see up to minute 18 or so). I think some extra parameters to adjust the look of the foam particles would be nice though, but not in the alien way Houdini does but the user friendly way of Phoenix. For instance I would like to have my particles be repelled by the ship more and I don't know how to do that, I don't seem to have a control for it.
