  • oil separating from water

So i wish to show the basic process of oil separating from water. So i would Imagine liquids with different buoyancy so the one would lay on top of the other after mixing. Alternatively foam particles witch could be rendered like a liquid, similar to a ability nParticles have. If this is possible pleas point me to a tutorial.

    Thanks
    Erik

    Hey,

Adding one more vote for liquids with different densities. Meanwhile you can somewhat cheat the effect by using the Particle tuner and separate the particles based on their color. You can check how this works here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mGAyh3uR89U&t=2970s

As for the foam rendered as liquid - do you mean you want to mesh the foam particles and render them as mesh? This is still in the to do list.
Currently you have a few different render modes for the Particle shader that is used to render the foam, you can find more here - https://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/...m-Example:Mode
