  • Logging environment variable

Can we get an environment variable to change where PhoenixFD writes its logs or at least write them in %LOCALAPPDATA% or %TEMP% like V-Ray does?
I manage several workstations and render nodes and it drives me nuts that there is a non-sandboxed PhoenixFD directory (now ChaosPhoenix) at the root of the C:\ drive.

    Thanks!

    Hey,

It's possible, but in the root of C: we don't have to deal with all the Windows directory access nonsense.

Since this is working currently and is not concerning the fluid solvers or rendering, it does not get much of a priority neither, though there have been other requests for it before as well.

We have it in our todo list, but realistically it won't happen in the near future.

    Cheers!

That's unfortunate to hear but thank you for the response.
