RT is already working in the Maya version. It will be relatively easy to be ported for 3ds Max. However, it's for now CPU only.V-Ray/PhoenixFD for Maya developer -
Hm. Maybe a lil tutorial for me maya noob how to enable RT shading ?I just can't seem to trust myself
So what chance does that leave, for anyone else?

It's called IPR rendering in Maya. Next to the normal rendering button. It works very well for liquids, but the smoke mode is not very fast... This is a limitation of the RT currently.V-Ray/PhoenixFD for Maya developerComment
