    Hi,

    I was reading this:

    I wonder with nightly I can have the following features?
    1. Distance Based Emission
    2. Fuel by Velocity

    "Emission by Velocity" would be very useful, because in this video, you can only get natural smoke emission from breaking debris without manual tweaking..

    Hey,

    Currently in Maya you have a very agile system called Discharge Modifiers: http://docs.chaosgroup.com/display/P...oenixFD+Source

    This will be merged to max too, hopefully soon. Currently, in Max you have ready controls on the PHXSource for modification of smoke and particle discharge by Velocity. Also, you can modify the discharge with a VRayDistanceTex to get the effect of discharging depending on distance to object.
