Can I request a similar thing to xMesh. In the input panel it would be very helpful if there was a readout of what frame is currently loaded

Oh, sure. We could add a fractional frame index so that you'd know if the frame is blended. Otherwise, there already is a 'Show Path' option in the dropdown of the '...' button.
