Would be nice to have a preview option. Let's say if I set my discharge to inject and 1000 with 0 dissipation it shows right away approximately how my smoke will look like, Then if i set dissipation to 0.4 it shows a different color on top of the original one/or replacing with original value how much smoke will dissipate. etc for all other parameters

This would be really great indeed. It would need to be a real, full blown simulation in order to be accurate, otherwise it would be more misleading than useful I'm afraid. We are also looking for ways to make fluid calculate how they would approximately look with much lower settings, but unfortunately right now the way fluid sims function in such a way that this is not predictable until all the required options kick in...Svetlin Nikolov, Ex Phoenix team lead -
