  • Liquids to work with pflow birth and follow nodes

    Hello

I was thinking it would be nice to have the liquid sims work with phoenix pflow nodes.

For example: Lets say you have a oilrig explosion in the middle of the ocean. And you want to have small fuel burning fires on the surface of the ocean that move with the surface. I was thinking it might be a great setup to use particles birthing on the surface as they move with the liquids. Then emit fuel as the explosion covers the fuel starting the small fires on the surface. Thoughts? Unless I'm missing something with the pflow nodes?

    Cheers

Yup, for liquids this is still behind - we do have a pflow force and birth operator, but they do work better with fire/smoke. Also, with liquids these operators need to take into account the ocean displacement, so right now I'm not sure you'll be able to work around it easily.

Will update it in the TODO list, we do have it planned...

Just a request on the Pflow with smoke etc. It is very slow compared to fumeFX I find. This is with very low resolution sims as I know higher ones struggle with Fume as well. Don't know if you could run a comparison between the two on your end?

Indeed, they are very slow and can be sped up quite a lot.
