  • Volume Grid Frame Display

Are requests for the Vray Volume Grid relevant here or should that be in the Vray forum?

Small wishlist item (if it's relevant in this forum), it would be useful to see a display of the frame the volume grid is currently loading. For example, when in cache index mode, you can of course set the precise frame but when you're in linear playback mode and set a start frame and a play speed, I'm unsure of which frame is being loaded, unless I do some minor calculations.

    Thanks!

    Hey man,

It's half way there - from the "..." menu -> Show File Name you can see the path to the frame with the lower index, e.g. if you are blending frames 9 and 10 it will show frme 9.

What's left to do is to make it show a fractional frame number.

    Cheers!

I experienced a situation where the Show File Name option doesn't show the frame. I'm currently working a large pipeline where the file structure is really precise so there are many containing folders and the Show File Name window has a character limit so it trims off the end of the path, therefor I still cannot see which frame is being loaded. I found that if I double click the end of the path, I can copy it and paste it in another program to view the file path as a temporary solution.

Sure, I'll change the control so it can be easily selectable
