  • Malware detected in the new beta build?

I was just installing the latest beta build (31439). Right after it finished, Kaspersky gave ma a pop-up that it caught malware in the installation folder. What's up with that? I clicked on disinfect just to be on the safe side. Please check the screenshots below. Vray appears to load fine, but it says that I don't have licenses so I can't use it (error -200).

It's the unified login executable: notice the command window mentions starting the service ("start" command) and returns an "access denied", likely by the AV.

What should I do now? I've just noticed that my Vray 5 installed on Max 2022 now doesn't find a license as well. I reinstalled Vray 5, but it still doesn't work. How do I fix this? Any help is greatly appreciated as I can't use my workstation for rendering now.

You will need to manually uninstall the License Server specifically and then reinstall the official V-Ray and it should be fine.

In the meantime we have submitted a false positive request to Kaspersky which they acknowledged.

        Best regards,
        Vlado
