  • Image goes black when using IPR and LightMix with GPU

I'm not sure if this is a limitation with the GPU engine or something else, but the rendered image goes black when using IPR and LightMix with GPU. This happens when orbiting around the scene or when using "Real Zoom". The CPU engine doesn't exhibit this behavior.

    Hi Alex,

When I orbit the scene in IPR and Light Mix elements(edited) I get some flickering on the preview for GPU LC.. as it doesn't respect what LightMix does
But I don't get a black result, also I get the same behavior with the standard V-Ray renderer, Could you please record a video of what you get?

Edit, after swapping back and forth between V-Ray and V-Ray GPU I get black result momentarily after orbiting the scene.. basically the GPU LC preview is turned off when light Mix is active, so with BF/BF this behavior is minimal
I will see if we can do something to improve this, but again I can see similar behavior with the standard V-Ray renderer

No worries. Attached is a video showing what I'm getting on my side. It's basically impossible to know what I'm looking at when I'm moving around with Real Zoom. Probably it's less severe with simpler scenes, although with such scenes I just use BF+BF where this problem is not present.

        Thanks for the video Alex,

We are looking into this now, it is not an expected behavior
