environment variable problem

Hi,

I install vray 6 to max 2023 (I have max 2022 with vray 5 installed too) and I got this error. I tried install it 3 times with original and different nightli versions and still the same. What I can do please?

Hi,

Somehow the 3ds Max doesn't see the variable being set. Can you start a command prompt and show me the output of this command "set vray_for_3dsmax2023"?

OK seems like it's setup properly. Somehow 3dsmax.exe is started with the old environment. How do you start it?

oh, from the icon max created, so from shortcut.

Yeah, when I start it from start menu or with 3ds max exe file, its ok.

Yup thanks, I was going to ask if just running the 3dsmax.exe manages. Still I can't imagine how would running it through the shortcut mess it. It's a system environment variable so new instances of the application should be seeing it even for other users.
