Nope, just the usual Common, Renderer, Render Elements, etc

I'm using Max 8, does that make a difference?

        Mine read:

Common, Renderer, Render Elements, Raytracer, Advanced Lighting

Just as they did before. I'm using the Max 8 version with Viz 2007.

Yes, this is only on Max 9 (and later).

For VIZ 2008 itself, you need the 32-bit version for 3dsmax; for your OS however, you need the 64-bit drivers. To get the drivers, you can either first install the 64-bit version in some temporary folder just to get the drivers installed and then un-install it, or download the 64-bit drivers separately from http://wibu-key.com/download_user.php

Once you install the drivers, go on with the installation of the regular 32-bit version for max9.

            Best regards,
            Vlado

This is only in max9; I'm not sure if this can be done in the same way for max8, unfortunately.

anyone knows what does it mean (from changelog file): "Options for directly controlling the render mode (region, crop, etc.) of the vray VFB"?

The renderer has parameters for specifying the render mode; they are not visible in the UI, but you can access them from MaxScript.

Guess that's the only difference - so I can live with that!

Great job by the way, been very much looking forward to this!

                      Damnit!!!!!

I've been waiting and checking to try and get the new version for hours and kept getting a 0kb file!

Seems you can't get it if you're using firefox!

Oh well, getting it now through internet explorer can't wait.

....I took that with a pinch of salt. Anyway, cant wait!!!!
Your reseller doesn't know what the hell they're talking about. A significant decrease in render time and all of the bug fixes are what I'm excited about.

                                install the wibu drivers.
                                attach the dongle.
                                run the VRay license server.
                                Done.

You want to make sure any firewall is off (or has port 30304 free to communicate with the localhost / 127.0.0.1 machine and the network (in case you want the license to be available over it)

There is actually no setup whatsoever to be done to have it work...
