I just tried to download it again and it worked fine, but in the process I got a couple of error messages when I clicked the links. Seems like there is still some heavy traffic.

        • I know that the "white page" syndrome could happen if certain antivirus software is installed; not sure if this is your case, but you can try to log in with a different browser and/or from a different machine.

For simple "cut-outs" use displacement modifier ( water level) and it'll show correctly in z-depth channel, including DOF (if I understood correctly your question???)
(actually I'm on RC3 and havent tested this in 1.5 but it might work???)

            • that methods only good for fully transparent opacity maps, not good for partially transparent. besides true 3d dof there isnt any post dof that can handle transparency well. for instance you have a semi transparent glass with a patern on the glass. the glass is in focus but the teapot behind it isnt. if you set z-depth for the glass then the teapot will show up as in focus when it shouldnt be. if you set z-depth for the teapot then the glass design will be out of focus when it should be

              • Can someone direct me on adding more licenses to a dongle. I have one working, but can't seem to get any support from chaosgroup. What is the process of adding more? Anybody been successful with this?

                • If you email me to vlado@chaosgroup.com, I'll send you a short PDF with the instructions on updating a dongle; this is also a part of the new help index, which I am working on updating too.

                  Best regards,

                  • is there a work in progress page for the new help desk at least. The one up right now just seems ancient as far as Vray goes.

if not, any news of when the new one will be up?
