I have been rendering about 60 renderings in the last week with about 20-30 masks each, and I am infinitely thankful for this plugin, which saved me a huge amount of time. I really hope the "noise"-problem with opacity-mapped objects will be solved soon, but until then I will certainly enjoy the time saved

Especially architects appreciate PSD-files being delivered with object- and material- masks so they can alter colors, materials, etc

I'm currently working on 3ds Max 2013 support for psd-manager (all plugins need an update to work in 3ds Max 2013). It will be available as a free update when it is done.

I bought this last week - it really bridges the gap between the two applications, which really matters when you're doing a lot of iterations - very impressed!

Sometime in the not-to-distant future, i'd love to see this extended to updating existing Photoshop files. It could track layers by name (so you HAVE to keep your naming consistent), work with smart layers, etc.

Unfortunately there is a bug in psd-manager 3.1.

Problem:
The Advanced Options dialog in psd-manager 3.1 does not work properly. The gamma correction option for render elements is always set to the same value as the gamma correction of the main render. So either both are on or both are off once the dialog was closed using the OK button.

Solution:
To change the psd-manager Advanced Options download the script psdmanagerAdvancedOptions.ms and run it using the MAXScript > Run Script command. It provides a similar dialog that works as intended.



I'm sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. It will be fixed in the next psd-manager update.
