Today, Chaos Group publicized an interview with Gwenael Heliou - Myst® IV Revelation technical director at Ubisoft’s Montreal studios.
Ubisoft (http://www.ubi.com), one of the world''s largest videogame publishers, recently revealed that the Chaos Group''s V-Ray renderer was used to render the environments and cinematic sequences for the entire game.
Some of the scenes were as big as 300MB, having over 3,000 objects, 2,000,000 polygons after being optimized and before displacement being applied and V-Ray proved its performance to be "very well indeed!", said Gwenael Heliou.
