Yes, in the newer versions of the denoiser, it should be easier to wire up separate read nodes for the channels.

Okay, nice. What about the output side from maya? Can we render single channel already and vray creates the RE files and folders for the denoiser when needed?

I managed to reproduce the problem and it seems to happen when frame_blend is set (not 0) and rendering without GUI.
We'll see to cleaning up the warnings and fixing the issue.

Could you confirm if your setup works when frame_blend is 0?

        Thanks!
        Any update guys ?

        Best regards.

We already have the builds, need to do some more testing on Linux though.

Just updated to 1.4. Thanks a lot!

Could you maybe put the version number in the node's UI? Just for keeping track of versions? Thanks!

If you have an open console while running nuke, the denoiser outputs:
                            V-Ray Denoiser for NUKE 1.4
the first time it loads for the session.

                              Great, thanks.

Another thing: I have a nuke node with a pretty old card, a GTX 670. Nuke recognizes it as a GPU, but the denoiser fails with:

warning: VDenoise: Hardware acclerated denoising failed with error -51

                              Ideas? Thanks!

                              EDIT:

I also get a bunch of

                              error -51 in file C:\builder\cgrepo\utils\denoiser\src\ocl.cpp, line 1231

                              errors.

And it seems, that the denoiser is trying to use the onboard Intel HD graphics along the NVidia card and then fails. In GUI mode it works without a problem. I already tried to disable the intel graphics in the system settings, but that doesn't work.

EDIT2: My colleague just told me, that on his machine the denoiser says that it is trying to access an old card, that's not installed in the machine anymore. And as a fallback it then uses the newly installed card. Maybe this is related.

EDIT3: The error -51 doesn't show up when I switch the device from "All OpenCL" to "GPU".

It's best to use the "GPU" Setting, as "All OpenCL" is experimental yet. It'll be labeled like that in the next release.
