To Gijs: It looks like there was indeed a problem with internal reflections; this has been corrected for the next build.

              Best regards,

                That's great news, thanks!

                  WWX":

Secondly, Peter stated that all features for version 1.5 has been added now, but will we still have a new licensing scheme with the final release so that we can transfer the license from one machine to the next?

                  Thamks
The licensing system will work exactly the same way as it is now. However, the code generation will change, due to the fact that our final appliations are slightly different from the current builds. Which means, all the users upgradnig will require new codes.

The moving of licenses will require a special hardware dongle that you can carry anyway you wish, however you will need to pay an additional fee for the shipping and the dongle itself.

                    Re: I agree

Hi Vlado, there is no such option available when trying to install on this specific machine, so I know what you are talking about and where it should be, but its simply missing.
Could it be a corrupt downloaded installation file? Have you tried downloading it again?

                      File

I used the same file to install on two other computers so I don't think the file is corrupted. (So think I did notice is that on neither of those two machines Bake3D where installed). I also have not been able to get DR working so maybe I should just download again and give it a try. Will keep you posted.

                      Cheers

So your FINAL applications are slightly different from your current builds eh!
How on earth does that work then?
That must mean your working backwards!
That would explain why there are more things that used to work, not working now than there were 12 month's ago!!

And I'm not sure about the ....."all the users upgradnig will require new codes." bit.

Upgrading?? I still don't have what I originaly paid you guy's for!! What am I going to be upgrading from? And doesn't upgrading usualy mean 'Give us more moolah'? Yeah! Right!! Or should you be saying Updating! I think this needs to be clarified!

And Dongles! Grief..... Better hope they are off the shelf commercial units and not in house efforts, otherwise I can see it all ending in tears. Christ, you can't even get DR to work properly.

I'm sorry if I'm sounding a little negative here, but I'm thousands of dollars out of pocket over all this nonsense. I'm still having to use Max 5.1 while the rest of the industry is moving to 7.
I still have Max6 sitting in it's box from a year ago and I'm not bloody happy!

I'm using MAX + Vray at home, however work are looking to purchase a couple seats of MAX but not Vray (I didn't think I could push them too hard, as they were also getting a copy of Photoshop for just me as well ). This means that I can easily travel with my copy of Vray without worrying about hexxing conflicting authorisation codes.

yeah....I've had bad experiences with dongles before...rember when maxviz and Autocad used to be dongleed........they had the uncanny ability of malfunctioning right when you needed the software most.....and then you had to call Autodesk.....they'd send you a new one.....and by the time it arrived your project was already due..... ....I think that pissed a lot of people off as well as creating a ton of headaches for Autodesk, which I think that's why they switched to a full software solution....

why can't yours be a software solution?.....like having some kind of borrow license" utility like the one in VIZ 2005....it works great accross the network, whitout having to keep track of hardware......I'm just courious..
