Hello
I know there is many workflows that V-Ray need to support, but I would like to have the "option" to work the Lazy way I like
.
Tone mapping/post processing :
It is a deal-breaker for me as I would love to see the final result directly in 3D and the current built-in solutions doesn't give me what I want .
currently removing the "Burned" areas always affect the whole image and make it look so flat .. changing "Contrast" is so difficult as it is so sensitive now and the range is so big that you need to be very careful with it .. also contrast (to my eyes ) act different than what it does in PS/corona/Fstorm for example as I found the colors really change when I change it so I need to play with "saturation" controls which again not so user friendly and make thing over complicated imo .
Interactive rendering :
stability and being sure that EVERYTHING I change update in VFB is a-must and that's not so good- yet- with V-Ray ..also how IPR render now make it "looks slow " as it starts from the center of the image and move toward the edges and pass one is"too clean " to my taste comparing to other renderers .
Light-mixer :
Afaik it is coming to V-Ray soon but is is a god-send in my workflow so I'm mentioning it here just as reminder .
To make things clear ,I mainly work on Archviz rendering and I have been using VRay for so many years as it is fast, solid, and can render anything you though at it ! I enjoyed teaching it also over the years to hundred of students.. but for the last few months I've found myself moving more and more to Corona and I see it is the case for many Archviz artists I know too (Check sites like Behance/VWartclub to see what I mean ) it is not because it is faster nor better (none can beat VRay speed !) it is just "easier" to get the final look using the 3 points I've mentioned above .
Kindest regards,
Nawras,
PS.sorry for my English
