  • IPR: Faster first pass?

    Hi,
is there a way to reduce the time it takes until I see the first pass? I usually set Light Cache super low, to something like 10. But still, the first pass takes a few seconds until it is finished. The first pass starts in the center of the image, and I can see it slowly spiralling to the corners. The image is quite clean already, though. Is there a way to make the first pass more noisy, but quicker to display?

We are working on a better preview for the light cache, which should solve this problem - we will just use the light cache as a first pass.

      Best regards,

Does changing the ray bundle size for the progressive render mode have any effect on IPR speed?

Yes it would be good to hear some speed improvement suggestions when using progressive IPR.
