    hey whats the max listener command to convert egz's materials to its vray counterpart?

      I found it by searching finally, but I cant get it to work.... Im stupid...

      meditmaterials[Y] = copy meditmaterials[X].delegate

      is the script, but not sure how exactly to input [X] and [Y]

        I think 1 would be the top left material slot, and 24 would be the bottom right slot.

        So if you make egz in slot 1, then you can use the maxscript and convert it to a vray material in whichever empty slot you want.

        So just switch x and y with your numbers and you got it.

          Percy, the script you gave will allow you to convert single materials to their vray counterparts by just filling in which medit slot number you're using...

          So, if you've got a egzglass in the first material editor slot and want a vray material type in this:

          meditmaterials[2] = copy meditmaterials[1].delegate

          and it will give you a copy of that egz material as a vray material in slot 2

          Of course, this whole process could be scripted to include all egz materials, but, this will do for just the occasional conversion...

            oh ok cool...was trying to input the material # instead of the slot #...will try that...

              Convert scene to vray.. in the quad menu .. also converts egz materials?
